THOMAS KERN (Switzerland, 1965)
Founding member of Lookat Photos agency. Reports include Northern Ireland, Kurdistan and the Balkans; held captive by Iraqi security forces during the bombing of Baghdad in 1991. Based in San Francisco, he is now concentrating on issues linking Central America and the USA. In 1996 he won World Press Photo awards for his work in Iran and Dagestan. |
